Why should we care about preventing burnout, anyway?

In 2022, the US Surgeon General issued an advisory highlighting the urgent need to address burnout in the health care professions (source: US Department of Health and Human Services).
Extensive research and personal experience show that the same factors that contribute to burnout for health care professionals apply to EVERYONE.

Burnout costs businesses, nonprofits, and schools a lot of money. How? When employees burnout, they aren’t able to do their jobs effectively (or at all) and this means higher staff turnover, the need to increase recruitment and training, and more employees on medical leave.

No one wants this.

42% of global workers reported burnout in 2022

46% of women report burnout compared with 37% of men

48% of workers under the age of 30 reported burnout compared with 40% of workers aged 30 and above

These stats are ALARMING. Burnout is a global crisis that simply must be addressed.

My unique skills, experience, and training give me the special sauce that is needed to help turn the burnout crisis around so let's connect and be the changemakers that are needed!

Burnout doesn't happen to those who don't care...it happens to those who care the most.
